Innovation and creativity are the cornerstones of our mastery in traditional gold jewellery design, with each piece showcasing unparalleled excellence in both form and function.

Design

In the ancient tradition of jewellery making, the Indian subcontinent holds the longest and most continuous legacy. What we create is not just jewellery; it’s functional art, wearable and practical. Each design undergoes meticulous construction, using materials that ensure seamless adaptation to its intended purpose.

Care

At Sayar, we envision your jewellery enduring for a lifetime. To preserve its beauty, handle it with care, shielding it from scratches, harsh chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Store your jewellery separately to prevent any damage, especially delicate bead necklaces. Avoid exposing gold jewellery to substances like chlorine, which can cause permanent discoloration. For cleaning, use gentle methods, taking care with gemstone pieces and seeking advice from a jeweller when needed.

Tradition

The essence of Indian heritage is intertwined with art and jewellery, each piece reflecting the rich culture and style of the nation. Gold, both by its value and design, embodies tradition. From ancient times to the present day, jewellery has been an integral part of Indian ceremonies and weddings, with diverse styles reflecting regional traditions. From the intricate Meenakari of Jaipur to the majestic temple jewellery of Nagercoil and the timeless Kundan craftsmanship of Delhi, India’s artistry knows no bounds.

Skill

Nagas: (Nakshi in hindi) work which involves carving on gold sheets and then converting them to wearable options like god figured pendants, necklaces, haarams, Odiyanam, jhumkas, vanki, etc.

Kundan: Work which has a strong presence in Rajasthan, with huge number of goldsmiths obtaining skill from their ancestors, in creating masterpieces for their Maharajas from centuries – jewellery studded with gemstones like rubies, emeralds, polkis (uncut diamonds). Goldsmiths here had similar expertise in making those masterpieces but with much more sturdiness and firmness.

Fusion: Is a combination of nagas and kundan work which is currently trending.

Pachi: Work involves opensetting of polki and other gem stones. Karigars who have the proficiency of setting diamonds on gold pockets specialise the same in bringing out magnum opus ornaments.
